Cartoon Candy employs a full time team of quality control professionals. Our highly trained Food Technicians are qualified to carry out all manner of tests and standards controls on all products we manufacture. Our on-site laboratory carries out daily quality tests and more complex tests.

All staff are trained on induction in our hygiene policies and are re-trained annually. Our Health and Safety Committee is responsible for supervising that all policies are adhered to and the highest standards are maintained. We have fully trained First Aid and Fire Marshalls in case of an emergency, and all our Forklift Operators are trained and fully licensed. We are inspected regularly by the government Health Department and hold certificates from the following:
- Ekurhuleni Metro Municipality – Food Manufacturing Facility
- Beth Din – Kosher Product: Oranges & Lemons
- Muslim Judicial Council – All products are Halaal
- We are also audited annually by a few of our larger principals that we manufacture house-brands for
All materials are purchased from reputable suppliers and most are required to have a COA (Certificate of Analysis) when delivered – which we keep on record. We have excellent relationships with a broad range of suppliers, both local and international, who have been with us for over 10 years |
