Our Vision

Cartoon Candy strives to be the premier one-stop supplier for all your sweet & snack needs. We commit to enriching the lives of those in our communities through vigorous CSI programmes and education for our staff. We will honour the environment by reducing our Carbon Footprint, through re-cycling and reducing our energy consumption wherever possible and educating the youth and those in rural areas on how to protect the environment for their future.

Our History

Factory Cartoon Candy started in March 1999 as Candy Stix and produced only extruded sweets.  In March 2000, operations moved to Wadeville, with the addition of tablet pressed suckers and sweets.

The Snack range was then launched, introducing Twiggles, Puffs and Sugar Loops. These lines were originally part of Armato Foods, which was started by company owners Ari Psaltis and Mark Froman.

Turnbulls Butterscotch was launched in 2003 and has become our premier line, available in:

  • Butterscotch Original
  • Butterscotch Mint
  • Butterscotch Cappuccino
  • Butterscotch Chocolate
  • Turnbulls ICE (mint)

Our Jelly Sweets Line, The Yummy Gummy Co. now comprises 17 different flavours and shapes including Sours. Our factory premises now occupies 25 000m2 and we employ 400 people, as swell as operating our own maize mill, Power Mills, which processes on average 100 tonnes of maize per day.
